Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire City Deal
At South Ribble Borough Council we are delighted to be a part of the Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire City Deal, along with our neighbours and partners. It promises to be a unique adventure, which will take us down a road of growth and prosperity, while creating a better environment for our future generations to enjoy.
City Deal will spark the biggest infrastructure investment in Central Lancashire for generations, bringing forward three decades of growth in ten years. We will be welcoming new employers, residents and facilities, and we will be delighted to do so. We are dedicated to a co-ordinated and managed approach to growth in the borough, working with our neighbouring councils to ensure we are maintaining and developing a prosperous Central Lancashire.
South Ribble is very much open for business, with lots of thriving companies. The council wants to do everything it can to support and nurture existing and prospective businesses and through this exciting infrastructure investment we envisage a significant boost to local companies.
With the introduction of traffic management schemes and the continuation of regeneration, we firmly believe City Deal will create a better South Ribble for everyone. But our focus isn't just on urban flourishing. We are very much dedicated to ensuring the maintenance of the borough's rural nature too, with plans announced for the creation of a major new park, creating a "green spine" for South Ribble.
We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for our current residents and creating a legacy for future generations, while making the borough an attractive place to live, work and play.
