Media

The council is responsible for internal and external communications - including questions from the press (journalist enquires), interview requests, and the publication of content to this website.

The team is part of the shared services with Chorley Council and so delivers the above for both councils.

Media protocol

The council's media protocol dictates that the Cabinet Member for the relevant project/programme will be the main media spokesperson in relation to any media requests.

Council officers will not be offered for interview unless agreed by the relevant Cabinet Member.
